The City of Bremen Board of Education has tentatively adopted a millage rate that will require an increase in property taxes by 22.97 percent for city parcels in Haralson County.
All concerned citizens are invited to the public hearing on this tax increase to be held at Bremen Board of Education, 501 Pacific Avenue, Bremen, GA 30110 on September 25, 2025 at 11:00 a.m.
Times and places of additional public hearings on this tax increase are at Bremen Board of Education 501 Pacific Avenue Bremen, GA 30110 on October 3, 2025 at 7:00 a.m. and October 13, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. The millage rate will be set following the last hearing at 6:30 p.m.
This tentative increase will result in a millage rate of 13.50 mills, an increase of 2.522 mills for city parcels in Haralson County. Without this tentative tax increase, the millage rate will be no more than 10.978 mills for city parcels in Haralson County. The proposed tax increase for a home with a fair market value of $100,000 is approximately $100.88 for city parcels in Haralson County.
The millage rate tentatively adopted by the Bremen City School System will be 13.50 mills, a 1.45 mill reduction from last year.
