STUDENT SUPPORTS SYSTEM

Bremen City Schools’ Multi-Tiered System of Supports
Bremen City Schools utilize a framework called Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) to maximize achievement and minimize behavioral problems for all students.  MTSS combines instruction, assessments, and interventions to create a data-driven, multi-level prevention system.  Through this system, students receive services at all levels, depending on students’ needs. Instruction, intervention, and supports vary by tier and intensity based on the individual student.

The prevention system is fluid, allowing students to move up and down the tiers to meet the students’ needs as they progress through school.  The time students are served in a particular tier is informed by the student's response to the intervention over time.
To learn more about MTSS in your student’s school, contact the building MTSS Coordinator.
