Text Box: Course Overview This course is designed to help you understand the fashion industry and become a better consumer of clothing and textiles. You will review the process from design and manufacturing to marketing and promotion. You will also learn how to choose the best clothing styles for different body types, how to determine quality and value in clothing, and how to construct and maintain personal clothing items and accessories. Finally, you will learn about the science and design of textiles and their significance to all of your consumer decisions. This course has a significant lab component and will require the student to purchase the materials needed for the construction projects.
