Bremen Middle School’s 8^th Grade Reading with Ms. Dogru monica.dogru@bremencs.com Helpful Links Homework Syllabus Schedule Reading News: This 4^th Quarter in 8^th Grade Reading, we are working at a High School level to better prepare the students for the Literature Courses they will be taking over the next few years. We are wrapping up the novel, Cold Sassy Tree, by Olive Ann Burns, and will continue with our reading list after completing our Memoir Project. Our next, and final, novel is To Dance with the White Dog, by Terry Kay. After completing this novel, the students will write a Reaction Paper following a High School level writing rubric. Many of our 8^th graders are well beyond the One Million Words GPS requirement, and several others are fast approaching that prestigious goal.
