has arrived and we begin to focus on why we are thankful, Pilgrims and Native Americans.  We are asking each family to send an old pillowcase to school for a project. In early December  we will be sending a permission slip for our trip to the Center for Puppetry Arts Center in December.  We must pay for the tickets far ahead of our going. There are a limited number adult chaperone tickets for you, so if you want to go PLEASE be sure to get your money and form in ASAP.  We take parents on a first returned and paid, first to go.  BOOOKIT begins anew each month and our goal is for each child to read (or have read to them) 5 books this month except for December when our goal is only 3 books.  You don’t need to wait to the end of the month to return the form.

During P.E. weeks be sure your child wears tennis type shoes.   We have studied the letter names and formations of all the alphabet letters and are now reviewing the sounds of them and blending the sounds into words.  We appreciate and are very thankful that each of you stays involved in your child’s education.

Happy November Birthday,

Mrs. Bosworth!

Our character stars for September was Madelyn Seagle for responsibility; for October was TJ. Lowery for being honest.  This month’s star is for thankfulness and December’s star is for generosity.

We have a very difficult time choosing our stars each month. Children are awarded a character coupon when we notice them exhibiting the character trait of the month and at the end of the month ONE name is drawn from the character can.  May of the children exhibit the character trait of the week!  It’s a wonderful dilemma to have!

Here are some of our sight words that we are learning to read in class.  Remember that these words should be INSTANTLY recognized, not sounded out!
