WEEK OF APRIL 17, 2009

NEXT WEEK	Language Arts: Diagraphs “wh” as in “whale” and “th” as in “then” and “Thursday”. Play games to think of words that begin with these sounds; rhyming words. Keep going over sight words. Math: Addition/Subtraction to 10. Work with your child on adding/subtracting – use beans, noodles, blocks, etc. for practice. Unit: Earth materials – rock, mud, soil, water.
UPCOMING EVENTS	Thursday – Media Center – Return library books. REMINDER: Please return picture envelope with your money and choice of package by Friday, April 24^th. All assessments will be completed by Thursday for GKIDS.
NEWS	CAMP (computer, art, music, P.E.) Schedule: P.E. in the upper gym with Coach Mouser. Please wear tennis shoes to school.
OTHER	Friday, April 24^th - Relay for Life at Haralson County High School. Please send your donations to school to “stomp out” cancer. Jones Elementary School Art Show at Warren Sewell Memorial Library through April 30^th. Fri., May 8^th – Tentative field trip to Tanner State Park.
