Prom Information:

The Bremen High School Prom will be held on May 1, 2010 at the West Central Waco Campus from 8pm-11:30pm. Students must pay their Junior Dues to attend Prom. Dues are $50 and a check can be made payable to BHS. Dues are generally paid during Registration. If your child has not paid their dues (or are not sure if they have), they can come see me! We are looking for parents to help decorate the evening before Prom from 4pm-10pm. If you are interested, please email me! J

The dress code for Prom is in the Student Handbook. Please review it before purchasing dresses, ladies!

About Mrs. Hightower:

I am originally from Snellville, GA in Gwinnett County. I graduated from Shiloh High School in 1998. I was voted “Most Spirited” in my Senior class, which is not hard to imagine!

I went to the University of West Georgia for my undergraduate degree. I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Mathematics, with an Emphasis in Education.

I began my Master’s Program in 2004 at UWG and graduated in 2007 with a M. Ed in Administration and Supervision, which certifies me to be an Administrator.

I completed my Specialist Degree in July of 2008 from Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee, where I received an ED. S in Supervision, Curriculum, and Instruction.

I completed an AP Statistics Workshop at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa during the summer of 2007.

I am Gifted Certified through the State of Georgia, and love teaching a variety of Math classes!

Experience:

I student taught at Carrollton High school and Central High school during college.

I taught for 4 years at Central Carroll High School, where I held the position of Department Chair (2 years), Cheerleading coach (2 years), and Prom Advisor (3 years).

I have taught for 2 years at Bremen High school and look forward to many years to come!

I have many things that I am passionate about, especially my family and my friends! My husband is Dusty Hightower (from Carrollton). He recently graduated with a Degree in Law from John Marshall Law School in Atlanta, where he was editor of his Law Review Journal. Dusty now works at Miller and Hightower, P.C in Douglasville and Carrollton. He does mostly criminal work and tons of good information can be found at his criminal website, www.westgeorgiadefenselawyers.com. We were married on June 20, 2009 in Destin, Florida on the beach! My family is scattered from Madison, GA to Portland, OR. I am blessed to have the support of so many wonderful people!

I teach aerobics in the evenings at Club Fitness in Carrollton. I hold 5 certifications: BodyPump, BodyCombat, BodyAttack, BodyStep, and kickboxing. I also teach an abs class and enjoy running.
