"Bremen City Schools..............Excellence In All We Do!"

In the fall of 2011, it was decided that one purpose statement which embodies the purpose of the 
school system would be better than a separate vision and mission statement. The leadership team 
reviewed different ideas for a purpose statement and decided upon three options. The three options were 
placed on a survey and stakeholders were asked to decide upon which option best reflected what our 
purpose should be as a school system. Students, faculty/staff, parents, and community members responded. 
In all, there were 451 responses. The purpose statement, “excellence in all we do” was the clear winner.
