August 21st - Senior pictures that were made thsi summer will be delivered at lunch
August 27th - Senir make-up pictures will be made in the media center - There is $20.00 sitting fee and you may bring up to 3 casual outfits - look below your scheduled time. August 31st - Baby pictures and quotes are due along with $5.00 - The quote must be typed. September 3th - Labor Day holiday September 7th - Senior picture orders will be taken at lunch - All proof books must be turned in. Week of September 10th - Build senior homecoming float (location and times will be announced at a later date) September 14th - Homecoming parade and game September 27th - Probe Fair at University of West GA; permission forms will be distributed later (You will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from many colleges & universities (in GA and out of state) and pick up applications/information.) September 28th - Ads for Grads are due - Please return the form given during homeroom with your Ad for Grad. October 10th - Nine weeks tests October 18-20th - Fall Break (no school) October 24th - 10:00am; Senior class will meet with Balfour (You will view graduation announcements and other senior products) October 27th - A.C.T. at UWG; deadline to register is September 21st; register online at http://www.actstudent.org November 3rd - S.A.T. at Bremen HS; deadline to register is October 2nd; register online at http://www.collegeboard.com November 8th - 5-7pm; Senior order night with Balfour in the cafeteria; ($75 deposit needed) You and your parents will place orders for announcements and other graduation products. November 9th - Seniors order graduation announcements with Balfour in the cafeteria during lunch.

Mrs. Barrett is available and very willing to help seniors search the website www.gcic.peachnet.edu and to assist in their search for that perfect college. She can also assist you in navigating college websites and sorting through the application process. Mrs. Barrett's office is on the top hall and has 4 computers for student use. Please make an appointment with her to learn more abou thtis useful website. As a parent of a college student, she has utilized this site with her own children and is very anxious to help others. Take advantage of her knowledge and one-on-one assistance!!!! Check with your teacher before scheduling an appointment during their class.
FROM THE COUNSELOR: Students need to register for their personal account on www.GAcollege411.org College applications and federal Financial Aid forms can be completed through this web site.
There is a scholarship notebook in the counselor’s office that is updated regularly. Seniors need to check it often and apply, apply, apply. You never know until you try! GET YOUR APPLICATIONS COMPLETED!!!! Mrs. Skinner would like to remind you to notify her when you have completed a college application so that a current transcript can be mailed to accompany your application (required by all schools). There is a clipboard in the counselor's office to sign up for transcripts. Also, Mrs. Skinner can assist by mailing applications for you. Some college have on-line applications. Ask if you need help!
