Welcome to Mrs. Hopkins’s Language Arts class web page.  We have begun our last unit of the year…poetry.  We will be making a book with 5 original works of poetry along with illustrations.  (This will be done entirely in class.)  Also, we will memorize a Shel Silverstein poem and recite it in class.  Both the book and the recitation will count as test grades, so please encourage your child to do his/her best on both projects.  As always, please let me know if you have any questions…we have had a good year so far, but it’s not over yet!  Please keep your child focused on academics as much as possible.
